Dear Friend,

On May 29, the DEA raided yet another medical marijuana clinic in California — in Santa Rosa, just north of San Francisco. The clinic’s 100 patients are now buying marijuana on the streets instead of receiving a safe supply from the clinic. And the two men who were arrested are now facing five to 60 years each in federal prison. Please see http://www.mpp.org/states/site/quicknews.cgi?key=923.

It’s time to fight back.

Please plan on protesting at the DEA office nearest you on Thursday, June 6. [there was a list of 60 organizers, but i ain't postin' all that shizz. in new york, contact marijuanareformparty@att.net, (212) 370-1835. e-mail me for other states.]

Also on June 6, MPP Director of Communications Bruce Mirken and a handful of other activists are planning to get arrested in an act of nonviolent civil disobedience in Washington, D.C.

At 55 DEA offices across the country, angry citizens will serve “cease and desist” orders, demanding that the DEA end its war on medical marijuana. Other types of dramatic, peaceful protests are also being planned. And nonviolent civil disobedience is being planned at some — but not all — of these protests.

The national day of protest, which is being coordinated by Americans for Safe Access, is a direct response to the DEA’s raids on medical marijuana clinics in California. For more information, please contact Americans for Safe Access via this Web site, at info@safeaccessnow.org, or at 510-486-8083.

Sincerely,

Rob Kampia
