Happy Hollowness

Mirriam
by Chris Nyne

Mirriam’s caught in the web
Blood on my eggshell carpet
Rotten apartment.

Toxic, anaemic skull on the spine.
Carving a pumpkin to replace the mind…
Happy Hollowness.

Electric eels, metric centipede

Coils my forearm
Foils my energy
Oils my membrane
Soils my entity
Dinosaur cavity, extra-strength dust in my gravity.
Mirriam mastermind motor the majesty.

Mirriam’s caught in the web
Blood on my eggshell carpet-
Rotten apartment.
Mock megalopolis.
Cops couldn’t stop the apocalypse.
Faded, sodomized, jaded.
Dive in the cave but the sunrays invaded
the soul in the hole I created
So I crawl, like a man without legs.
Open the flower and mix up the eggs.
Hopeless devour the words that they talk,
Then regurgitates paint and my lips taste like chalk.

Mirriam’s caught in the web
Blood on my eggshell carpet
Rotten apartment.

(Chris is my former flatmate and biggest artistic influence [I 'spose saddled side by side with Seth, my other former flatmate and biggest artistic influence]. If you have not yet, I implore you to explore his website to the fullest. Today’s leading setback to being in Israel? Not being ’round to hear a nigga rip the mic. Damn I miss that kid.)
