Is Olmert trying to manipulate the Israeli Left by evacuating the house in Hebron?

David Bogner at Treppenwitz has written an open letter to the Israeli Left in response to the Israeli government’s decision to evacuate the house being illegally occupied by settlers in Hebron. Bogner believes this move is intended to distract the public from the forthcoming Winograd Commission report, and to win Olmert the support of the Israeli Left in advance of its release. He sent me, and other jbloggers, an email asking us to chime in on the issue. I’ve left my remarks as a comment here.
