Sneaker Pimps recently teamed up with K-Swiss to create the equivalent of the Cow Parade for sneakers. The shoe company handed dozens of pairs of white sneakers over to the Pimps, who redistributed them to street artists all across the United States, and then brought the results on tour.
Here are some of the shoes on display at their closing event last night at the Roseland, that carried either a Middle Eastern theme, or a political theme relating to the Iraq War.




Can anyone identify the Arabic word on these two shoes? Faux Arabic…

Kinda weird to see sneakers on this blog. Anyway, it’s not Arabic. It uses an Arabic font to spell out SBTG, the handle of the artist who designed the shoes.
