i think one of the founders of tumblr is engaged to a coworker of mine. she’s waiting for the site to take off so he can strike it rich and retire and whatnot.
i don’t care where yr blogging/twittering/facebooking so long as you update regularly
Tumblr provides an interface more conducive to what they call lifestreaming. Instead of having to write a post every time I want to share something, it will automatically post for me everything I Digg, bookmark on Delicious, upload to Flickr, favorite on YouTube, post to Twitter etc. etc. Kinda like FriendFeed.
Ay. Sounds I have to follow all of your activities if I decide to subscribe to your tumblr-feed(?). Mmh, it’s different to: Mobius decides to write a post in his blog. Passive (tumblr) vs. active (blog). In the end it’s up to you. But I think I’ll loose focus if the information-feed is too gray (?) … Do what you have to do — I’ll (try) to follow your tracks
Can it be customized? Can you do a mix of both? Whatever you do, I check this on a fairly regular basis, and will continue to do so regardless of format.
I’m going to go against the tide and say that I like the idea, but I still don’t think you should take this site down because 1 – it’s like your resume online and 2 – because your archives go back to 1984 and you were blogging before fucking anybody.
You could tweak the format so it’s not a blog or something and feed tumblr here or something like that…
Why will Tumblr bring more frequent updates?

No. Please not. Stay independent. What is stopping you on more frequently updates? Software? Hardware? Time? Enthusiasm?

I agree with Yoram. Stay independent.

it’d be nice if you picked up a phone and called, ya bastard.
Ballsy. New. Stream-lined. I like it.
